I became fascinated with the art of paper cutting (or Jianzhi) while traveling extensively through China back in 2005/2006.
I illustrate on 140lb watercolor paper and various other acid-free card stock papers and cutout each individual illustration by hand, often hundreds per light box- and stack them by gluing foam core to the backs of the cutouts. I then install multicolored LED strip lights into the inside perimeter of the custom made frames. They operate by use of a remote control which allows you to preform various functions such as; fade, strobe, smooth, flash or simply leave it on one of the sixteen different color options.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have further questions about my light boxes.
